We decided as a group that the first of the three tasks that we would tackle would be the teaser trailer. This choice is the only logical one as it would prove to be impossible to create either a poster/magazine cover or a website without first shooting the trailer, from which we could use stills and footage from to help with the production of the two remaining tasks. It is also necessary to create the trailer first as we need to evaluate it and decide on the themes we used etc and then transfer them onto the other two tasks.
The specification requires for us to create a teaser trailer that cannot exceed a duration of 2minutes. We will first decide on a general plot and the genre of the trailer and then begin extensively researching into other teaser trailers of blockbuster films of similar genre in a bid to see just what aspects make them so successful.

Starting off...
Today, We discussed what initial ideas we can experiment with. We kept everything within 3 points to maintain order.
The idea must be:-
1. Simple - Our target isn't to complicate things. According to Occam's razor, "entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity". Or in Layman's terms, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
2. Effective - Our marketing campaign must incorporate prestigious elements and factors concerning modern day life. For this reason, we're relying primarily on subtlety and evocation.
3. Target - Our key objective is to sell this film to a wide variety of groups and subcultures. This will be the most difficult stage since we will be referring back to the script, film, editing process, social networking sites, etc., intermittently.
All these points help to establish an aura of control and acknowledge how important it is to identify with audiences and institutions since these organisations decide what they want to see, why they want to see it and how much they're willing to pay to see it.

Introduction to A2 Media...
After finishing out AS Media project and exam, we moved on quite promptly to A2 Media and were offered a variety of choices and tasks and from the selection of choices. Previously, our media projected consisted of creating a blog that displays our progress in its entirety and creating a two minute clip for the start of our a film.This year, we were given separate tasks and more variety. After much delegation our final choice was to create a promotion package for a new film which is to include;
- teaser trailer (of no more than 1min)
- a website homepage for the film;
- a film magazine front cover, featuring the film;
- a poster for the film.
